ULTRASOUND THERAPYTo Treat & Soothe Your Ankles & Feet
Are your ankles or feet in pain? Got inflammed joints? Ultrasound Therapy might be just the ticket.
Ultrasound Therapy has played it’s part in clinical practice and has been used by therapists since the 1950’s and it remains a popular and evidenced treatment.
It is applied using a round-headed wand that’s placed directly in contact with your skin using ultrasound gel. The heat created from the sound waves is not felt on the surface of the skin. The treatment is completely pain free.
Musculoskeletal ultrasound is a very powerful diagnostic tool for the diagnosis of a wide array of foot and ankle problems, including:
- inflammation of the joint capsules
- injuries and trauma
- plantar fasciitis
- arthritis and gout
- scar tissues
HOW ULTRASOUND WORKS
Ultrasound is a form of mechanical energy. The vibration at increasing frequencies is known as sound energy and the vibration is called ‘ultrasound’.
Sound waves travel in a longitudinal direction and consist of areas of compression and rarefaction.
When the energy passes through the skin it causes oscillation of the particles and can be used to produce thermal changes in the tissue.
Ultrasound Therapy consists of 6 treatments to the affected area over the course of 4-6 weeks and the treatment is tailored to suit your individual needs.

May thanks to Laura for going the extra mile recently when she fitted me in for an appointment 5 minutes before closing time.
I’d called in on my way home from work in great discomfort, hoping for an appointment. What a star! She quickly treated my disheveled feet and I was walking on air as I left the clinic.
I noticed you have some comfortable looking shoes for sale, I’d really like to order a pair in time for my holiday.
Apologies to your poor receptionist who aided Laura so pleasantly as she was ready to go home and was delayed by me for at least half an hour, and thanks again to Laura.
